GalleryWatch is pleased to announce the newest addition to its suite of tools, a direct link to the Capitol CrowdThe Capitol Crowd is an online network of people who work with state government. It includes all current lawmakers and hundreds of legislative and agency staff, lobbyists, consultants, media, and others with a connection to the Texas Capitol.

If you’re involved with state government, go to the Capitol Crowd and register your current contact information. You can also include information about previous government-related jobs, plus upload a photograph or a resume. Anytime your career changes, you simply log in and update your information. The entire website is searchable so you can find people by name, boss’ name, political party, policy areas of expertise, and even former bosses’ names.

The Capitol Crowd is a separate service from GalleryWatch. Registration is free. After a 5-day free trial, you’ll be asked to subscribe to continue to access the constantly-updated information. New from GalleryWatch: The Comment Center!

GalleryWatch is pleased to announce the newest addition to its suite of collaborative tools, the GalleryWatch Comment Center. The Comment Center allows you to initiate e-mail correspondence with other GW users at your organization and to then have the resulting e-mail conversation stored on the GW site for future reference. Better yet, comments may be affiliated with a bill and displayed on the popular GW Bill Information Pages. Thus, from one page you will be able to view not only all of GW’s unique bill information, but your own comment history on it, as well.

The Comment Center is available, free of charge, to GW users. To learn more about the Comment Center, contact your Account Manager or support@gallerywatch.com. Existing clients should feel free to go and take a look at their Comment Center by clicking here (will require a login and password if you are not logged onto GW already).

Midterm Election Information on GalleryWatch!

Interested in finding out who is running in a particular district, where that district is located within a state, or who the candidates are in a state? Check out the GalleryWatch 2006 Mid-Term Elections Table located under GW Content on your My GW Page or under Federal Government -> Elections -> Search. This table will be updated after the election with the vote tallies and final election results.

We have also loaded a new election search engine, which can be found at Federal Government -> Elections -> Search. This search allows you to filter by election year (2004, 2006), member, party, state, race, and election type (primary/general).
